The Mayor's Hispanic Heritage Committee was established sixteen years ago in honor of Tampa's Hispanic Employees, the Hispanic Community, and their numerous contributions to Tampa and its citizens. Their fundraising efforts provide the funding for scholarship endowments at the University of South Florida and programs to mentor at-risk Hispanic Youths from local Elementary, Middle and High Schools.
