Don't miss this fantastic annual event at this years Guavaween Celebration in historic Ybor City!  The event staff will be searching the streets of Ybor City for the most ORIGINAL costumed revelers.  You will then be given a Guest Pass to join the event staff and judges at the Guavaween Local Entertainment Stage at the SW corner of 7th Avenue & 15th Street.

Be sure to bring your followers and revelers as the winner is chosen by crowd participation!  The judges will narrow down the competition to five contestants - crowd will then cheer for the first place winner of $2,000 CASH!

The Guavaween Staff will be working 7th Avenue between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm looking for ten (10) of our most creative costumed revelers. Ten (10) invites will be distributed at this time, inviting you to join us at the Costume Contest.

From 9:00 pm to 9:45 pm, the final five (5) invites will be distributed in the area of the Features Costume Contest Stage (SW Corner of 7th Avenue & 15th Street).

At 9:45 pm, all finalists will be invited backstage where you will be given a number 1-20. At 10:00 pm, the twenty revelers will be asked to take to the area front of stage. At this time our five (5) judges will narrow down the twenty (20) to seven (7). This judging will be based on ORIGINALITY, CRAFTSMANSHIP & OVERALL PRESENTATION.

The seven (7) final costumed revelers will then take the stage where Mama Guava will introduce them and each will have two (2) minutes to ‘show their style’. At that time, Mama Guava will lead the audience revelers in selecting the Guavaween – Features Costume Contest Winner!!! (and the winner of $2000 cash monies)!
