The Contest will take place at approximately 10:00 p.m. at Honey Pot (1507 E. 7th Avenue)

Throughout the day, all participants should be directed to the Information tent, located on north side of 7th Avenue at the corner of 16th St. (Centro Ybor).

Participants may register up until 8:00 pm. At Information tent, participants will determine which category or categories they are registering for. Participants may register for more than one category, up to three categories. Best in Show/People’s Choice is not offered as a “category” as this category will be determined by/comprised of the first place winners in each of the other eight (8) categories.

All participants must then sign the waiver sheet/registration form in order to participate. Signature and registration is mandatory for participation in the Costume Contest.

At 9:30 pm, participants need to gather around the platform stage located outside of Honey Pot, and listen for instructions from the MC regarding the designated area in which their category is organized/located. Before being released, these participants must be notified that in order to participate they must remain in their designated area.

Each category will be escorted one at a time inside Honey Pot by contest staff. Once inside Honey Pot, participants will line up in the designated area to which they are directed. The MC will call each name one at a time to come onstage and present their costume. Judges will then select the winner of each category. Winners will be escorted to the side stage holding area to await the Best in Show/People’s Choice presentation.

Once all categories are completed, we will begin Best in Show/People’s Choice, which will be determined by crowd applause. The judges will continue to be present to monitor the crowd applause.
