Guavaween is a
Latin-Style Halloween celebration that takes
place in Ybor City's National Historic
Entertainment District. During the daytime,
Guavaween offers Family Funfest and the
nighttime portion lights up to be one of the
largest Halloween festivities in the southeast!
Features: costume contests, The Mama Guava
Stumble Parade and multiple stages of national
and local entertainment. Guavaween is a
fundraiser for the Ybor City Chamber of
Commerce.
Sant’Yago
Illuminated Knight Parade and Family Fiesta
Estimated Attendance: 100,000
The streets of
Ybor City come alive with hundreds of floats
masked with lights and loaded with chivalries
filling the streets. Voted the largest and most
beautiful night parade in the South and one of
the top 10 parades in the Southeast by Suncoast
Magazine, this event features a daytime event
for families and people of all ages, Happy Hour
events in Tampa’s Premiere entertainment
district and an Illuminated Parade.
Ybor City’s
Fiesta Day
Estimated Attendance: 15,000
Fiesta Day began
as the official day of rest for the workers of
the Ybor City cigar factories. Today, the
celebration commemorates these immigrants that
settled in Ybor City in the late 1800’s as the
cigar factories thrived. Attracts families and
people of all ages. Features: International
Parade of Flags, Multicultural Entertainment,
Arts & Crafts, Flan Fest, Children’s Fiesta and
Black Bean Blowout! Fiesta Day is a fundraiser
for the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce.
